This is because plasma transfusions do not typically elicit an immune response related to Rh factor since the significant immunogenicity associated with Rh antigens is primarily due to red blood cell transfusions.

In contrast, it is essential to match the ABO type when transfusing FFP to prevent potential ABO incompatibility reactions. The presence of anti-A or anti-B antibodies in the recipient's plasma could lead to hemolytic reactions if FFP containing the corresponding antigens is transfused. Therefore, when selecting FFP for transfusion, ABO matching is critical, while Rh type matching is not necessary.
